This Halloween get ready for a frightfully fun night at the Halloween Spooktacular at Suburbs Rugby Club in New Lynn! This family-friendly fundraising event is packed with spooky activities, delicious food trucks, and plenty of Halloween magic – all to support the local community organisations.
The whole family will enjoy:
🍬Trick or Treat Lane
Little ghosts and goblins can take their gold coin donations down Trick or Treat Lane, hosted by local legends like Plunket, The Glass Ceiling Collective, NZ Police, Triangle Park Community Garden, and even Harold the Giraffe to collect lolly bags and take part in fun activities.
👻 Haunted House
Brave the spine-tingling Haunted House at Marples Manor – if they’re brave enough!… Otherwise “No Spookers” hours for the little ones are 3-5pm! 👻
🎬 Movie Screenings
As the sun sets, grab a spot on the grass for two outdoor movie favourites:
• 5:30 PM – The Nightmare Before Christmas
• 7:30 PM – Ghostbusters
🍔 Food Trucks
A range of incredible local food trucks including What A BBQ, Kookie Haus, Catchya Cookout, and Taste of Rwanda will be serving up fantastic food, with 15% of all food truck sales going straight back into the community.
With face painting and plenty of activities along the way, it’s the perfect family night out.
Don’t forget to bring gold coins for fundraising games, BYO chairs (limited seating available) for movie screenings, and if you can, carpool or take public transport.
