Event Details

From sunrise to sunset, the SEA LIFE Trust is launching the first ever 24-Hour Global Beach Clean event!

Volunteers are asked to join SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium on the 8th June as part of a global event to support World Oceans Day – and it all starts right here in Aotearoa New Zealand!

The main beach clean will be happening at Hatfields Beach, and then possibly Orewa if time allows. If you can’t make it to this location though please feel free to go to your own local beach and give it a bit of a clean! If you do this we would love to see any photos and videos of what you find.

Teams from around the globe will be joining forces to conduct a GLOBAL 24 HOUR beach clean. Be amongst the first to take part with the New Zealand SEA LIFE Trust team! The SEA LIFE Trust volunteers will be hitting the sand to see just how much rubbish there is and who can collect the most!

The SEA LIFE Trust champions the need for seas which are properly protected, free from plastic pollution, and full of diverse life.
