The Great Kiwi BBQ: Host a sizzling hot fundraiser to support Kiwi kids with cancer this March!

Every week in New Zealand, more than three kids are diagnosed with cancer. Child Cancer Foundation is dedicated to supporting each one of them and their whÄnau by providing them with one-to-one support, every step of the way.
As they received no direct government funding, Child Cancer Foundation relies on the generosity of fellow Kiwis to support these families through the toughest time of their lives. Thatâs where you can come in!
This March, Child Cancer Foundation is launching an exciting new nationwide fundraiser, The Great Kiwi BBQ. Itâs a great chance to come together with friends, family or colleagues while raising money for children with cancer and their whÄnau.
Getting involved couldnât be easier. Simply choose any day in March, invite all your favourite people around for a barbie and ask them to donate to your fundraising page. Then all you have to do is get cooking! Everyone who registers will be sent a BBQ Starter Pack, filled with all the essential items a barbie in Aotearoa should have!
Don't want to do a barbeque? No worries.
If going all-out on the barbecue doesnât float your boat, don’t sweat! You donât have to host a BBQ to raise money for tamariki with cancer and their whÄnau. Here are some other ways you can get involved with The Great Kiwi BBQ:
Host a shared lunch, picnic or potluck dinner. Whether you invite friends, your workmates or your sports team, a shared meal always goes down a treat! All you have to do is ask attendees to bring some kai and a donation.
Make a donation. Even if youâre not able to host a fundraiser, you can still support Kiwi kids and their families by donating to the Child Cancer Foundation fundraiser page. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping whÄnau who are impacted by childhood cancer.
