Fields kid-friendly cafe and playground in Albany
Fields is a kid-friendly cafe and eatery in Albany on the North Shore of Auckland. The neigbourhood cafe is a large open space with view out towards Hooton Reserve. The cafe was named Fields to pay homeage to when Albany was a fruit growing district.
Our favourite part about the cafe is that there is a fully fenced children’s playground right next to their outdoor deck. It’s nice to find a cafe that has a playground that keeps the older kids entertained as we find that they are often they are only for younger kids. If your kids are little you can’t see the playground from inside the cafe and will need to be on the outside deck which has beanbags on the steps for you to relax in.
For little kids there are high chairs and and lots of space for prams.
Fields cafe is run by Woozo which also runs Newbie, Scout and Wolfy so you won’t be disappointed with the food and coffee. There is a function room you can hire for birthday parties or a private family event too.
The land that the cafe is on will eventually be used for apartments, but you can enjoy the cafe for now before OKLA start building apartments.
