Salisbury Reserve is a local playground off a quiet no exit street in Herne Bay in Central Auckland. The reserve is within easy walking distance to the beach or to the cafes and shops at Jervois Road. The fun playground has swings, a basket swing, different sized slides, merry go round, monkey bars, big sandpit. We think the playground is suited most to pre-schoolers and primary school aged children although older children will still enjoy parts of the playground.  The surrounding park is a good spot for a family picnic in the city and has space to bring a ball to play with and there are lots of beautiful old trees to provide shade.
