Kids will love the newly opened playground at Hayman Park in Manukau in South Auckland.  The park has the tallest Play Tower in New Zealand checking in at 12.8 metres tall is four stories tall!

Families can all go together on the 1 metre wide Family Slide that is on the first level of the tower.  There are rope bridges, a rock wall, a tall spiral slide and even a rooftop seesaw on the tower. 

Kids enjoyed the double flying fox on top of the vibrant pink path and being able to race each other. 

There is a serious tall air swing that if fun not just for the kids but the teens and adults too!

Nearby is a nature play playground space for kids to enjoy exploring. Spread around the park is lots of musical play equipment and game panels for little kids.

Hayman park has a dedicated area of the playground which is for young children.

As well as the playground, the park has a flow bowl and pump track to ride and scooter on.

Older kids will like the basketball half-courts and the skate park.

Tips about Hayman Park Playground

  • Suitable for toddlers and pre-schoolers with a dedicated young children’s area in the park

  • Suitable for primary school and intermediate aged school children. 

  •  We like that the tower has a staircase for adults and caregivers to get to the top, which is handy to join your children on the tower. Some playgrounds have climbing tunnels that can be tight for adults to get to the top to, especially when your child needs help.

  • Teenagers and adults will like the pump track, wave track and basketball half-courts.

  • Inclusive wheelchair friendly Carousel

  • Partially shaded by the trees and a sheltered kiosk area 

  • Lot’s of bench seats around the park

  • Sealed path that goes around the perimeter of Hayman Park for a short walk and into the centre of the park by the Duck Pond.

Where is Hayman Park?

You can find the Hayman Park Playground in Hayman Park on the Davies Ave side in Manukau, South Auckland. The park is near the bus station and train station in Manukau. However if you are driving, unfortunately the parking nearby is not free and is metered parking.
