Location:

Lynn Reserve Playground is located in Bayview on Auckland’s North Shore.

There is a bush walk that starts at the end of Lynn Reserve taking you past the 800 year old Kauri trees and ending at Leigh Reserve which has another children’s playground. The bush walk is not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies due to the stairs and gets muddy in wet weather.  If you go on the walking track at night you can sometimes even see the glow worms. Please note that the Lynn Reserve bush walk has been temporarily closed to prevent Kauri dieback disease.

Other neighbourhood playgrounds nearby include Spinella Reserve Playground in Bayview, Manuka Reserve Playground and basketball half-court in Bayview and Tamahere Reserve Playground in Glenfield.

You can go on a walk to see the Bayview Waterfall in Glendhu Science Reserve. Note that the water is not safe for kids to swim in.

Glenfield Library is also in the local area if you want an indoor activity for the kids after visiting the playgrounds.
