  • Explore nearby historical Alberton House and it’s gardens.

  • Go for a walk up Ōwairaka | Te Ahi-kā-a-Rakataura | Mt Albert maunga. There are lots of steps so if you have little ones, it pays to bring a front pack and not a buggy.

  • Take a walk along the part of the shared pathway, along Oakley Creek. As this is one of Auckland’s longest urban streams, you may only want to walk part of it with little kids.  The Owairaka Domain is nearby too.

  • Take the kids for a swim at the indoor Mount Albert Aquatic Centre. There is a 25m swimming pool, wave pool, toddler pool and hydro slide!

  • Get some books out from Mount Albert Library which has a great range of children’s books. It’s a great spot to wind down after an outing to the park.

  • Try playing golf at Chamberlain Park Golf Course which offers an 18-hole public golf course for visitors of all ages.|
