Aotearoa Surf have a range of services to suit kids and adults of any experience level. Choose from afterschool and weekend surf lessons, the school holiday surf camp for kids or sessions in the school holidays for the kids. Or you can always book in for a family surfing lesson.
Casual surf lessons
2 hour surf lessons
2-hour surf lessons are perfect for first timers, beginners, or those simply wanting to brush up on a few techniques. Lessons take place on Auckland’s favourite east coast surf beach where small groups are taught by experienced instructors/ You can buy singular lessons, or book 3, 5 or 10 lesson packages.
All equipment is provided including wetsuits, rash vests and surfboards. Each surfer progresses through to their next level and you will be standing riding waves by the end of your first lesson!

Junior Surfers Club after school program
The Junior Surfers Club runs for 8 weeks on a Monday and/or Wednesday each week in terms 1, 2 and 4 for kids and teens aged 5 to 18 years old. It is a fantastic way for your kids and teens to build ocean confidence, make new friends and learn to surf!
All equipment is provided including wetsuits and surfboards. Group sizes are limited with a maximum of 6 students to 1 coach. Should conditions not be suitable for surfing, other activities will be provided. Appropriate coaching, training and supervision is given at all times.

Outdoor Adventure Club program in the school holidays
School holiday programme has a wide range of adventures in and around Mangawhai for kids aged 5 to 16 years. Activities include; surfing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, coastal walks, beach games, beach and harbour safety, body boarding and more! Kids can choose to go for either 1, 2 or 3 days.
Summer Surf program in the December and January summer holidays
Aotearoa Surf teaches every child and teen to surf as best they can over 4 lessons on their Summer Surf holiday program. This is a fun, holistic and challenging program for kids aged 6 to 16 years old. All equipment is included.
Kids summer surf camp
Ultimate Kids Surf Camp in the school holidays
Aotearoa Surf runs all inclusive 5 night/6 day school holiday camps that provides accommodation, transport, meals, surfing, activities and more for kids and teens aged 8 to 16 years old. Kids get to learn how to ride waves and have the experience of a lifetime in Mangawhai. It’s the perfect adventure and fun holiday as each day they will get to enjoy 2 surf lessons as well as a myriad of other exciting activities including kayaking, paddle-boarding, volleyball, yoga, campfires, talent shows, a BBQ, a waterslide and confidence course.
